Accessibility statement
Vane Security wants everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to use vanesecurity.com fully and independently. We built the site to meet the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 1998, and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013.
Conformance level
The site is built to Israeli Standard IS 5568, which is based on the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at level AA. We also aim to meet WCAG 2.1 at level AA.
What we did
- Clear page structure with one main heading, landmarks (header, main, footer) and headings in order.
- Every part of the site works with the keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link.
- Text and controls meet AA colour contrast in both light and dark mode.
- The tabbed product demo follows the WAI-ARIA tabs pattern: arrow keys, Home and End move between tabs.
- Every form field has a visible label, and errors are explained in words.
- All moving content can be paused with the Pause button in the hero or the “Stop animations” option. The site also follows the “reduce motion” setting of your device. Nothing flashes more than three times a second.
- Animations are decorative. What each one shows is also written out in text next to it.
- The layout works from phone width up, and at 200% zoom, without horizontal scrolling.
- The page language is set, so screen readers read it correctly.
The accessibility menu
Open it with the round accessibility button at the bottom left of every page, or press Tab from the top of the page until you reach it. It offers:
- Text size: 100%, 115%, 130% or 150%
- High contrast (black, white and yellow)
- Monochrome
- Stop animations
- Highlight links
- Readable font (Atkinson Hyperlegible, designed for low vision)
- Text spacing (line, letter and word spacing)
- Large cursor
- Strong focus outline
- Reset all
Your choices are remembered on your device. Press Escape to close the menu.
Known limitations
The live gateway drawing in the hero is a picture made with code. Screen readers get a text description of it, and the request log beside it is not read aloud because it changes every second. We are not aware of other accessibility problems. If you find one, please tell us and we will fix it.
Physical accessibility
Vane Security does not run a public service office or reception. Meetings take place online or at the customer's site.
